Bradley, Joe

THE LATE JOE BRADLEY It is with deep regret that we record the death of Joe Bradley of Glenour Adamstown. Joe, who was 55 years of age was a gifted tradesman, following his school days he became involved in the building trade with his father and continued in the trade up to the time of his death. Outside his work Joe has a passion for sport of all kinds. In his earlier days he was very much involved in his local G.A.A. club as a player and an official. Joe was also a very keen soccer supporter; athletics was also very much in Joe's life as he often fielded out with Adamstown A.C. winning county Championships. He also held the position of chairman for some time. Joe was one of the most popular people in his community and a person who never ailed to help out in what ever was asked of him. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him, this was evident by the large crowd who attended the removal of his remains from his home to St. Abban's Church Adamstown on Friday last where a guard of honour was formed by Adamstown Coiste na nOg club and students from Good Counsel College. On Saturday a very large crowd again attended Joe's funeral mass and burial at which a guard of honour was formed by his G.A.A. and athletic club friends. Sincere sympathy is extended to his wife Maureen, his family Eric, David, Shane, Rita and Linda. To his parents Johnny and Bridget, his brothers, sisters, relative and friends. May he rest Courtesy of the Wexford People 11 July 2007
