The Late Lar Banville
TAGHMON/CAMROSS GAA
The club extends sincere sympathy to the Banville families on the recent death of Lar.
Lar played hurling and football with Camross in the forties and fifties and was also Secretary and Treasurer of the club.
Lar won a county junior hurling medal with Camross in 1942 and was on the victorious team that won the county double in hurling and football in 1949. He donned the purple and gold in junior football in 1950 and he played mainly in centre field and half forward positions.
He was a great stalwart of the club, ar dheis De a raibh a anam.
