The Waterford hurlers availed of the opportunity to have a puck around at the new Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Last Saturday, the Deise hurlers got the chance to familiarise themselves with the new venue with a puck around for an hour ahead of their All-Ireland SHC quarterfinal against Wexford this Sunday.

Waterford have not played on Leeside since the 2012 Munster final, so they were glad of the run out last weekend.

While many may feel that a run out like that is not beneficial, there are certain aspects that can be worked on like the free takers getting a feel for taking frees in different positions, while goalkeepers can also work on their puck outs.

A great atmosphere is set to be generated by both sets of supporters who are expected to make their way to the venue in their thousands.
