Wexford 3-8

Carlow 2-9

Mossy Murphy's late goal gave Wexford a dramatic two-point victory over Carlow in tonight's Leinster U20FC first round clash at St Patricks Park in Enniscorthy.

A Paudie Hughes major boosted the Model County into a 1-3 to 0-4 interval lead before Shane Pettit got their second which pushed them six points ahead midway through the second period.

The visitors clawed their way back into the contest and took the lead but the comeback was foiled by substitute Murphy's last minute strike.

Column Feeney sent over an insurance point for Brendan Kehoe's team who now face Meath in the quarter-final next Saturday.
