Hurler-cum-jockey Mikey Fogarty will be hoping to enter the winners' enclosure for a second time in four days when he lines out for St Anne's in the Wexford SHC final on Sunday.
Yesterday, Fogarty rode 'Robin Gold' to victory in the Premier Mares Handicap over hurdles in Thurles. It was the Cheltenham Festival-winning jockey's first winner in over two years, having previously retired in 2017 after 10 years in the saddle.
'Robin Gold' was trained by Mikey's brother, Jonathan, who is also a key player for St Anne's. The talented brothers are expected to line out at wing back and corner forward respectively as the Rathangan-based club bid to spring a surprise on favourites St Martin's, who will be without the suspended Rory O'Connor.
The St Anne's attack is led by former county football star Redmond Barry, who rode for Gordon Elliot at this year's Punchestown Festival.
