Counties could meet three times in this year's championship

Limerick and Tipperary could be sick of the sight of each other before this year's hurling championship is done.
Part one of a potential trilogy involving the local rivals was played out before nearly 40,000 spectators in Thurles yesterday. Tipp were full value for their four-point victory, but John Kiely's All-Ireland champions will have an immediate chance to avenge their defeat in Sunday week's Munster final at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.
After that, there's a possibility that they could meet again in the All-Ireland final on August 18. Of course, the same scenario could unfold for Wexford and Kilkenny who meet in the Leinster SHC final on Sunday week after they played out a thrilling draw at Innovate Wexford Park last Saturday night.
However, there's a lot of hurling to be played between now and then, and others are sure to have a say in where the Liam MacCarthy Cup will be spending the winter.
