Leinster MHC: Model County book semi-final ticket

Wexford are safely through to the last four of the Leinster MHC after a convincing quarter-final victory over hosts Laois at O’Moore Park today.

The Model County ran out winners on a scoreline of 4-17 to 1-16.

David Cantwell (2), Richie Lawlor and Cian Byrne (penalty) netted the goals for the winners who enjoyed a 2-8 to 0-8 advantage at the halfway stage.

Cathal O’Shaughnessy scored a late consolation goal for the home team.
