Wexford hurlers are to jet off to Portugal for a training camp at the end of the month.

Wexford were amongst a number of counties found to be in breach of training rules during the club only month of April last year.

However, Wexford County Board chairman Derek Kent informed county board delegates that the trip has been sanctioned by Croke Park.

April is supposed to be free for clubs to have their county players for the whole month, but the fact remains that some county teams are training during that period.
