The Wexford footballers have been boosted by the return of experienced midfielder Daithi Waters.

The St Martin’s clubman took an extended break from the squad over the winter, but has returned to training ahead of the start of the NFL.

Waters struggled through last year with persistent injuries, but was still one of the best performers in what was a poor year for the Model County.

However, the dual star is back to full fitness and will be available for selection for their opening NFL 4 match away to Leitrim on Sunday week.
