Wexford manager Paul McLaughlin has revealed that Colm Kehoe will not be part of the squad in 2019.

Kehoe was expected to return to the football squad having spent this year concentrating on the Wexford senior hurling squad.

However, McLaughlin confirmed to the Wexford People that Kehoe would not be returning to the squad but instead trying to overcome some persistent injuries that have plagued him in recent years.

“Colm Kehoe will not be available to us this year. He has decided to concentrate on rehab over the next three to four months and see how the club championship goes for him,” said McLaughlin.

Wexford play Laois in their rescheduled O’Byrne Cup clash on Thursday night and McLaughlin revealed that he has brought in a few new players to the squad.

“I have brought in James Cash, Sean Kenny and John Roche to the squad, while Tiernan Rossiter and Eoin Porter are set to return shortly from injury. John Tubritt has also rejoined this week having had a long club season.”
