London manager Ciaran Deely proved that he is still able to perform at a decent level as he helped his native club Horsewood to a win in the Wexford IFC.
Deely returned to his roots and lined out for the club as they defeated Ballyhogue by 1-12 to 0-08 in the IFC quarterfinal.
The former Wexford captain was confirmed as London manager for a fourth year last month, but his focus for the next few weeks will be on the Wexford intermediate football championship.
Lining out at wing forward, the 35-year-old scored a point as Horsewood booked their place in the semi-final where they will face St Mary’s (Rosslare).
