Good afternoon and welcome to the latest edition of our live text commentary.

Today the focus was on football as the hurling league took a break for the weekend, although we did have the Kehoe Cup final between Longford and Wicklow down for decision.

The Dubs maintained their winning start to the season last night, but could Galway be able to match them when they take on Mayo.

Elsewhere, Kildare hosted Tyrone at St Conleth's Park as both sides looked to pick up their first points of the campaign.

The weather played havoc and we had four games postponed as Monaghan v. Kerry, Cavan v. Meath, Sligo v. Fermanagh and Derry v. Offaly all fell foul of the weather.

Following today's games in all divisions there is a much clearer picture as to who will be in promotion contention or a relegation battle.
