Wexford boss Davy Fitzgerald is set to be without defender James Breen for the Slayneysiders' 2018 campaign.

The Irish Daily Mirror reports that the Adamstown clubman has opted out of Fitzgerald's squad due to work commitments, which is set to open up a vacancy in the left corner-back position for the Model men next season.

There are also doubts over the availability of David Redmond for next year after the versatile Outlart-the-Ballagh man's struggles during this past season.

Redmond, who turned 30 in September, debuted for his county in 2008 and has given tremendous service in the purple and gold over the past 10 seasons.
