LMFC: Wicklow v Westmeath Westmeath take on Wicklow in the quarter final of the Leinster minor championship this Saturday. The game is in Aughrim so Wicklow have an advantage but we beat them comfortably in the league. They beat Laois since and we've had an extra game so I think it's around 50-50. square_ball_69 , 16/05/2012 at 20:39
Wee can take Louth in Navan royaldunneCounty: MeathPosts: 9891173658 Good luck on sunday to both teams. I can't call it as I feel westmeath have come on and to be quite honest louth have too. The one thing in your favour is louth may be that bit cocky after beating meath and just may have eye on next match. Best of luck anyway and may best team win. Ill be in navan on sunday.Royaldunne there is not a chance that Louth will be cocky this weekend. There is never much in the end between these 2 counties and Louth will learn from their Lesson from last year, when they thought they had only to turn up to beat Carlow. OLLIE , 16/05/2012 at 16:41

The Team to take on Louth should read Well I think all sane people are aware of our limitations. Who suggested we would win Leinster?. With a few variations the team more or less picks itself. Louth have gone back a lot too......Come on Westmeath! Jack_Sparrow , 16/05/2012 at 14:49
The Team to take on Louth should read Lads lets be honest, that team compared to the 2004 leinster winning team, Hasnt a hope of winning leinster. Now i hope im wrong but i highly doubt i am. Can anyone honestly say we have a hope??? not at all.Thats a very weak team. thegaa , 16/05/2012 at 14:40

The Team to take on Louth should read If you were at any of the games this year you wouldn't have Ennis full forward. Hopefully Gavin is fit. Matthew , 15/05/2012 at 19:06

Wee can take Louth in Navan before anyone points it out I should have said Laois are also in the chasing pack in Leinster, probably irrelevant though as can only seee a Dublin - Kildare final mrblob , 15/05/2012 at 14:39
Wee can take Louth in Navan hope yee win this game, be great if yee beat Louth and Dublin, and we beat Laois and Wexford to set up a semi final derby meeting!Unlikely to happen as I think Dublin are well ahead of the rest of us in Leinster, Kildare not far off them.. then there's Wexford, ourselves, Westmeath, Louth and despite a bad league showing Meath on a more or less evenly matched level.Have a feeling thought that this weekend we'll beat Laois and I fancy yee to beat Louth as well, all the best! mrblob , 15/05/2012 at 14:37
Wee can take Louth in Navan Really think Westmeath will win this one, too many Louth regulars missing and Westmeath proved they're a decent outfit in the league by beating better teams than we did........ here's to a good game lads Shearer , 15/05/2012 at 13:20
Your County Hurlers exist as well!! What is the likely team that Hanly will field?. Has Westmeath injury problems? And John Gilligan their young and very promising centreback is suspended. uarea , 15/05/2012 at 08:20
Westmeath ladies deserve to play in Cusack Park. It would probably make it all the worse to point out that the mens county team played an in house game amongst themselves at the weekend in Cusack Park yet the same venue is not afforded to the ladies board for club finals. Although I would imagine that this is not just the mens boards fault.I doubt the ladies board are any better in standing up for their players and clubs. Maroonie , 14/05/2012 at 18:44
Westmeath ladies deserve to play in Cusack Park. does it comes from the fact that most camogie teams are not part of their main gaa clubs?camogie seems to value its independence a lot valley84 , 14/05/2012 at 17:58
Your County Hurlers exist as well!! Looking forward to the game, hopefully it's close and you never know what might happen since the game is at home we have a better chance than we did in Casement Park last time we played Antrim in the championship. There will be plenty of timber on the sidelines if ye need it lads. Pollardman , 14/05/2012 at 16:55
Westmeath ladies deserve to play in Cusack Park. I believe that ladies football and Camogie have the right to play matches in cusack park. In my opinion it is a disgrace that we do not even get to play our county final matches in cusack park yet the men get to play all championship games. we should be at least respected to play a final here and not in Rochfordbridge or Plunketts (We appreciate these ground been made available to us). I feel this year Westmeath ladies clubs and county teams both football and Camogie need to fight for the right to play our finals in cusack park. We train just as hard, we devote our time to our clubs and most ladies clubs are run by its team members. It is discrimination that we are never show cased in cusack park by our county boards. nancy411 , 14/05/2012 at 16:19
Your County Hurlers exist as well!! Westmeath are well able for Antrim. I wish them the best of look this Saturday if everyone of them steps up to the task I have no doubt they could win the game. nancy411 , 14/05/2012 at 16:03
