Ticket Prices

(Oldest Posts First)

Are the GAA trying to stop people going to games? Ticket prices for Westmeath v Laois on Sunday is a disgrace. €25 on the day....no concessions for kids....if you bring an u5 ( who will have little or no Interest in the game) it €5....I assume the Programme will be €5 too.....GAA is living up to it's slang name...Grab All Association...I was going to go with my wife and kids and make a day out of it...getting it hard to justify it to myself now...2 adults, 2 kids, Programme, sweets, drinks, food...a game could cost me between €100 and €150...

That seems a bit steep. Usually tickets bought up to day before match are €5 cheaper than that and I presume you mean stand tickets. Terrace tickets usually good value too and €5 for under 16s not bad as Tullamore has an excellent stand.

The fact that it is a double header is obviously playing into the ticket prices! Kildare Longford are playing after our game in case you didn't know

€25 for two senior inter county games in brilliant value to be fair. The day of a programme is over; you can get the team online on the day. No one stopping you bringing food etc with you. You won't keep everyone happy!!

A stand ticket for Mayo v Roscommon is €35 on the day, the other game there is a Connacht junior game. So €25 in Tullamore on the day or €20 online isn't bad considering theres 2 senior games.

yeah, but who wants to see them play? Ha!
this business of double headers is a joke and is a money making exercise.
counties should get to play games in their own ground until the semi final

Prepay tickets would get the 4 of you in for €50 to see two Leinster quarter finals. That seems fairly reasonable to me.

Anything else on top of that is your own choice if you want to spend money on sweets etc. You could just bring food with you. I've been to a ton of games in Tullamore and I've never seen anyone stop people bringing food.

Fair play to you Mick...Cork is a handy spin nowadays...My issue is around the fee for kids...for years they have been free. ..

I haven't missed a Championship game since 1993 v Kildare and I was in the US for that....between 1991 and 2008 I missed 1 league game, was at all the O'Byrne Cup games, many of them that you were probably not at....

Many of your fellow club-men know me well, and how I support Westmeath

enjoy the game on Sunday

Steep alright. I'll be buying online and travelling down from Belfast. Hopefully the lads bring the league form with them.

Got my prepaid 20 euro ticket today. It and the receipt stub have 5 euro discounts for Apache pizza. If you managed to use those you're basically just paying a fiver for each senior inter county championship match...the same as a 60 min ordinary club league game. Can't really argue with that in fairness !!

What if you hate pizza?

If it's €20 online it should be €20 on the day, which is only good value if you're gonna watch both games. Who honestly on this forum is gonna stay for all of the second game, who's playing the second game? €10 into Cusack for the last two Saturdays, be better off going to Portlaoise and paying €10 for one game.

Ignoring the fact that the first game didn't go the way we wanted the 20 euro turned out to be great value altogether after...second game was excellent and extra time for free !
