Under 12 Girls

U-14 Girls
Our U-14 girls played championship on Tuesday last against a strong Kilbeggan team. Both teams fought hard for every ball and after a gallant effort, unfortunately we came up just short losing out on a scoreline Kilbeggan 2-10 Shandonagh 1-10. Excellent effort girls. They are out again this Tuesdayagainst Moate and this game is away with throw-in at 7pm. Best of luck girls.
U-16 boys
Huge win for our boys last week in the championship. They took to the field against Caulry on Monday and this game went down to wire with Caulry hitting the crossbar in the dying moments. Shandonagh 4-05 Caulry 2-09
Minor Girls
The girls begin their Championship campaign next Sunday as they take on Tyrrellspass. This game is in Shandonagh and throw in is at 12.30. Training continues this Wednesday at 7pm in the pitch.
Minor Boys
Championship this Wednesday 26th July against Millmore Gaels. This game is in Shandonagh at 7pm.
Ladies Football
Our ladies took to the field in their final group championship game against Loughnavalley on Sunday. Shandonagh started strong on the attack from the throw in but the chances fell short. We soon corrected this and clocked up a few scores before Loughnavalley responded. Shandonagh went in at half time 5 points up. Loughnavalley got the first score on the board in the second half and started to put the pressure on the Shandonagh backs. The girls withstood it well and got a goal on the counter attack. From there they built up momentum and came out winners. Shandonagh 4-09 Loughnavalley 2-07
Shandonagh are now through to the county semi-final. Well done girls!

Shandonagh 1-18 Tang 1-08
Shandonagh kicked off their Intermediate campaign in Ballymore on a glorious Sunday afternoon. Tang were first to get on the score board but it didn't take long for Shandonagh to respond. There was a quick succession of points from Shandonagh but Tang got a goal in the 12th minute to level the game. Some great scores by Ciaran Shanley and Brian Kavanagh sent Shandonagh in at half time 12 points to 1-03. Tang started the second half strong but with some great play and strong scores by Shandonagh, we began to pull away. A Shane Kenny goal in the last few minutes was enough to seal the deal for Shandonagh.
