Under 13 Hurling
Southern Gaels will be represented by seven players on the county Under 13 panel as they face Carlow this Saturday in Carlow. Best of luck to Gearóid Mc Carthy, Killian Keegan, Dean Burns, Ruairí Ó Duibhir, Cillian Geary, Dara Shorthall  and Aaron Murphy and well done on representing your county. Thanks also to Gearóid Ó Duibhir and Sean Burns who have helped out with training this squad.

Athlone Minor Girls' Football
Congratulations to Athlone girls on their great win over Delvin/St. Paul's in the Minor Division 4 Championship last Sunday.

Club Training
Club training continues for many squads but has moved indoors until mid December. So all our young hurlers can still enjoy the benefits of some fun and games.
Under 6 to 8 train in the Marist Gym on Retreat Road every Tuesday from 6.30 to 7.30. All newcomers are welcome and hurls and helmets are provided to beginners. Please bring runners. Cost €1 per family.
Under 10 to 12 train on the Gael Scoil Astro-turf Ballymahon Road every Sunday from 3.00 to 4.00.
Under 14 to 16 train in the Gael Scoil gym every Sunday also from 3.00 to 4.00.

Recycle and Reuse.
If you have any unused or unwanted club gear/helmets/hurls we will recycle it for you. If you drop it off at any of the club training sessions we will see it put to good use.

Christmas Catch Up and Hurlers Reunion.
Calling Players, Mentors, Supporters and all who soldiered in the name of Southern Gaels through the generations : Make December 22, your Hurling Catch up night with fellow Hurling folk. Get all the Hurling talk outta your system before the crimbo and reminisce  on all the craic this year and years gone by. So if you're hoping to meet your friends for a Christmas drink or A Hurling Reunion, arrange to meet all your Gaels in Pairc Chiarain that night. The throw in is at 9.00pm.
