Under 20 Championship

St.Vincents bowed out at the semi-final stage to Castletown Geoghegan after an enjoyable game of hurling. The final score was Castletown Geo 1-25 St.Vincents 3-11

Junior B Championship

We qualified for the final of the junior championship recently thanks to two good victories over Cullion and Fr.Daltons. On the October Bank Holiday Monday, we travelled to Cullion minus several of our squad and emerged victorious on a scoreline of 3-15 to 0-14. Team; Adam Mitchell, Damien Grifferty, John Kiernan, Feichín Óg Brennan, Antóin Savage (0-1), Ciarán Bawle (0-1), Eddie Nally (0-1), Johnny Nally, Ciarán McGovern (0-2), Noel Yourell (0-1), Brendan McCarthy (0-4), Adam Bate (1-5), Enda Murray (2-0). Sub; Kevin Orme for C.McGovern. The following Sunday we took on Fr.Daltons on the 3G pitch in Lakepoint Park in our final group game. After another enjoyable game we took the two points on offer with a winning scoreline of 3-13 to 1-12. Team; Adam Mitchell, Damien Grifferty, John Kiernan, Feichín Óg Brennan, Antóin Savage, Ciarán Bawle, Eddie Nally, Johnny Nally (0-2), Ciarán McGovern, Noel Yourell (0-3), Brendan McCarthy (1-7), Adam Bate (0-1), Enda Murray (1-0). Sub; Kevin Orme (1-0) for C.McGovern, Tomás Brennan for J.Kiernan. A striking stat from this squad is the ability to score from play, as we scored 3-11 from play in both games, reducing our dependency on scores from placed balls. We now look forward to the final in a few weeks’ time.
