St Loman's, Mullingar and Garrycastle will face off in the Westmeath SFC final on October 13 after seeing off The Downs and Mullingar Shamrocks.

In the first semi-final at TEG Cusack Park yesterday, Garrycastle dethroned Shamrocks with a 1-9 to 0-6 victory. The outcome was effectively decided by Eoin Monaghan's second half goal which came just moments after the champions had Denis Corroon sent off on a second yellow card.

In the second semi-final this evening, St Loman's survived a scare from The Downs to win 1-12 to 0-11. With Luke Loughlin in fine scoring form, John O'Mahony's underdogs led by 0-10 to 0-9 at the end of the third quarter, but a 52nd minute goal from substitute Sean Flanagan got St Loman's over the line and into yet another final.
