St. Malachys - The Story So Far

We launched our DVD on Saturday last and there has been a massive uptake in orders from people who saw the DVD for the first time in the clubhouse. It was expertly put together over the past five years by Olly Gallagher and includes several interviews with past and present members, Scor participants from down the years, the entire 1981 SFC win and the 1991 Under 12 final win over Rosemount as well as much more. The double DVD is great value at €20 for over four hours of entertainment and can be ordered by phoning 0871508389 or 0868271179 or from any committee member and would  be an ideal gift for our many ex pats.

Minor Football Shield Semi Final
Lilliput Gaels 0-20 Garrycastle 0-08

We qualified for the Division 1 Shield Final with a well merited win over Garrycastle in Ballinagore on Wednesday last. After a very tentative opening half  we held a three point lead but as in our previous game against Mullingar Shamrocks we came out a different side in the second half and blew away the opposition with some breath taking football to run out decisive winners. Athlone will provide stiff opposition in the final but our team have shown that they can contest at the top level in the minor grade so we should have no fear going into this fixture. Well done to all the players and the management.

Panel: Jamie Keenan, Mark Killian, Cian Gavigan, Tiernan McMahon, Zach Wright, Paddy Doran, Fergal O'Brien, Morgan Gavigan, Darragh Seery, Conor Murphy, Peter Reynolds, David Jackson, Barry Bolger, Eoin Glennon, Jack Gallagher, Warwic Kirby, Cody Finnane, Mark Kiernan, Lorcan Kiernan, Luke Seery, Peter Dalton.
