Field Day
We held a very successful community field day in Crookedwood GAA grounds on the June Bank Holiday Sunday. The winner of €1000 The Cow in The Park was Conor McCarthy. We would like to thank all who helped on the day and everyone who bought tickets or donated to the fundraiser.
Division 2
Crookedwood 1-12 Clonkill 0-14. We got back to winning ways with a narrow hard-fought win over neighbours Clonkill. As both teams had played three very close games last year, a tight game was always going to be on the cards. The hosts had the better of the first half exchanges and led us by two at half-time. The crucial score of the second half came courtesy of a rasping 21yd free from Shane McGovern to put us a point up. It was point for point after that, but we managed to hang on for a vital win.
Division 3A
We had two games recently in Division 3A, but unfortunately we lost both to St.Brigids and Cullion.
Fixtures
We play Ringtown in Division 2 on Monday evening (17th June) at 7:30 in Crookedwood. All support appreciated for this game.
Lotto

Westmeath GAA
Well done to the Westmeath senior hurlers and management on qualifying for the Joe McDonagh Cup final for the second year running, as the draw with Laois ensured we will meet the same opposition on Sunday 30th June in Croke Park. Well done to our own Shane McGovern came on at half time and acquitted himself well. Barry O’Mara is also part of the panel.
The senior footballers won their first-round qualifier and will meet Limerick on Saturday next in Cusack Park, best of luck to all especially former Crookedwood hurler Ronan Wallace.
