Gaa: We welcomed Shandonagh to the park last Saturday night in our final game in this years ACFL Div 4. On what was a perfect evening for football , Shandonagh started the better with two quick fire goals in the opening ten minutes. Lorcan Daly and David Fox we’re showing well up front and we gradually got ourselves into the game. Unfortunately some wayward shooting left us with an uphill task for the second half as Shandonagh led by 2.09 to 0.04 at half time. The lads re grouped at half time and started the second half at a much higher intensity. Two goals from Lorcan Daly and Davey Malynn made it a three point game and from there on both sides traded points. Lorcan Daly again with two frees, and Cathal Byrne and Davey Malynn from play. As the game approached full time, Shandonagh had there noses in front by three points. Our lads pushed on to find that equalizing score, but Shandonagh held out for the win by 3.10 to 2.10.

Fixture: ACFL Div 1 vs Tang this Saturday @ 7.30pm in Rosemount.

The walking track lights in the park will now be off for the summer months. Only those with membership paid are permitted and insured to use the track.
