Match Reports
Minor League
Garrycastle 2-14 MAW 1-09
We found the going tough in the first half against opponents who had the edge physically and who moved the ball better than us in fairness. However credit to the lads for a much improved second half where they outscored the hosts. There is the bones of a decent panel here if lads commit to training.Good showings on the day from Cameron Digan,Reece Jones,Conor Bracken and the u16s who were introduced in the second half.Panel;Owen Higgins,Cameron Digan,Troy Bradley,Oisin Johnston,Conor Bracken,David Grenham,Jordan Simpson,Fiachra Cunningham,Luke Gavin,Paul Heffernan,Garbhan Cunningham,Phillip King,Jack Moran,Reece Jones,Dylan Nulty,James O Brien,Eoghan Curran,Harry Niall,Luke Whitney,

MAW 1-15 KILLUCAN 2-9
Our unbeaten record remains intact after a performance where we came out of the blocks like a train only to be slowly reeled in by Senior opponents but we were full value for the win over the hour. The very lively Paul Sheridan slotted our goal after a great flowing move and we probably should have had another couple of goals during this period where we were well on top and hit 1-7 without reply. But we coughed up a soft goal through a lack of discipline just before half time and gave something to Killucan to fight for which they duly did and we went into the break only 4 up 1-8 to 1-4.We managed to exchange scores for most of the second half until a second goal left us to battle hard to get it over the line.Given that we were down a lot of lads for one reason or another it was an opportunity for others to stake a claim and 2 of our best performers were Callum Jones making his first start and up front the hugely dedicated Darren Claffey.Panel;Darren McCardle,David Mullins,Jake Fannin,Callum Jones,Gavin Murray,Paul Gorman,Robbie Forde,Ruairi Cunningham,Conor Sheridan,Cian Bradley,Paul Sheridan,Darren Claffey,John Corbally,Billy Berry,Andrew Gorman,John Eagney,Stuart Coyne,Fiachra Cunningham,Nicky Hamm,Garbhan Cunningham

ACL DIV 4
MAW 1-8 ST PAULS 2-6
A bit unlucky in truth as we had the chance to get at least a share of the spoils here with a lack of composure again in front of goal costing us.We started well with Fiachra Cunningham swinging over a couple of nice scores from play and Cathal O Brien showing well inside. An Eoghan Dalton penalty kept the scoreboard ticking over and we changed over a point to the good. With some lads playing 2 games in less than 24 hours we were bound to tire and we flagged a bit in the 2nd half but still came close to getting a result.Good to see Colin Bracken and Stuart Coyne back after a long time out and good showings from Richie Price in goals, Callum Jones again and the busy David Mullins in the second half.Panel;Richie Price,Colin Bracken,Callum Jones,Nicky Hamm,Garbhan Cunningham,Andrew Gorman,John Eagney,Eoghan Dalton,Paul Gorman,Fiachra Cunningham,James Bracken,Paul Sheridan,Darren Claffey,Stuart Coyne,Cathal O Brien,Conor Sheridan,Cian Bradley,David Mullins,Conor Claffey.
