Dinner Dance News

A date, time and venue has been chosen for what promises to be the social event of the year. The Mullingar Shamrocks GAA Club  dinner dance will take place on 2 February 2019 in the Greville Arms Hotel starting at 7.00 pm sharp to allow plenty of time for dancing  later in the night. The music will be supplied by The Afters  and when they are finished DJ Mugs will take to the stage.

To enter this  night of celebration of our club with medal presentation to senior county champions and LGF League champions you will need a ticket that costs just €40.

All members, families and friends of Mullingar Shamrocks are welcome and tickets will be on sale shortly.

Mullingar Shamrocks: Denis Larkin; Patsy Fagan, Paddy Cole, Dominic Flynn (Joe Brady); Peter Smith, Tom Heneghan (0-1), Mick Greene, Gerry Nohilly & Michael Cole; John Corroon (0-1), Michael Clarke, Tom Maguire (0-1)[John Fagan], Michael 'Spike' Fagan (0-1), Denis Corroon and Noel Dempsey (0-1) [Seanie Murphy].

The Westmeath  Examiner reported that it was 'a classic country versus town confrontation'  .. well whatever it was five Mullingar Shamrocks players managed to score a point each and three were from frees.

Condolences

The members of Mullingar Shamrocks GAA Club were saddened to learn of the death of Edward McCormack  and extend sincere sympathy to Damien, Darrell, Kieran, Evan and Aimee, and to his grandchildren, sister Marian, daughters-in-law Jeannette, Fiona, Amie and Emma, Aimee's fiancé Marc and to the extended McCormack family circle and friends.

Kieran McCormack has been secretary of the Mullingar Shamrocks LGF Committee for the last few years and was part of the coaching team of  our Under-14 LGF team this season. Kieran's daughter, Chloe Flood McCormack is goalkeeper on our Under-16 LGF team.
