Gaa: Our u20’s qualified for the final of this years championship with a well deserved, and hard fought win over a gallant St Lomans side last Saturday night in Lakepoint Park. With the stakes high, both sides gave there all in a highly entertaining game over the hour. We started the game brightly and controlled the game for the first 15 mins, St Lomans then found there feet and following a penalty conversion and another quick fire goal it got them right back in the game . Scores from Sean Pettit and Aaron Nugent kept us in the game , and with that the sides went in at half time with the game in the balance. A couple of switches at half time began to pay dividends and with that we took control of the game. Some well taken scores by Lorcan Daly , Sean Pettit, Aaron Nugent, and a fantastic well taken point by Ben Cox off his left foot got us in front and we never looked back. Two more goals followed from Daniel Heaven and Ben Cox sealed the win. The lads gave there all , and can now look forward to a county final where we will play Athlone. We would also like to wish St Lomans player Shane Broughan who was injured during the game a speedy recovery. The final score was Rosemount / Castledaly 3.13 to St Lomans 2.06.

Rosemount GAA Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday the 2nd of December in the community centre at 6pm. All we welcome.

A special mention to Eamon Boland and David ‘Dee Dee’ McCormack who competed in World Kick Boxing Championships In Rome recently , taking home two gold medals. Well done lads. 

 

Walking track Lights in the park are now on from 7.00pm to 10.00pm Monday to Friday.
