U20 Championship
Moate v Rosemount/Castledaly
Although soundly beaten on the scoreboard at the end, our team to their credit fought very well and were competitive throughout. With us just having 15 players the opposition’s ability to bring in fresh legs helped them pull away. From a Moate perspective there were plenty of positives. A few lads pulled on the jersey that we hadn’t seen in a few years and played very well. Thanks to the team for getting involved and ensuring we fulfilled the fixture.
Team: Paul Gorman, Dean Corbally, Jack Kane, Gordon Kelly, Garbhan Cunningham, David Mullins, Callum Jones, Robert Forde, James Bracken, Andrew Niall, Paul Sheridan, Fiachra Cunningham, Paul Heffernan, Cathal O’ Brien and Nicky Hamm
Street League Sunday
Moate All Whites held the 2018 street league finals in glorious sunshine on Sunday Oct 14th. We would like to thank the street league sponsor John Gillivan Moate Meats for their support of the tournament this year. It’s been 17 years since this wonderful competition started and this year was probably our biggest to date. There were four matches on the day with over 100 kids between the ages of four and ten taking part.
We had a BBQ and mini disco afterwards and the club would like to express our gratitude to everyone who helped on the day.
This competition spells the end of the footballing year for all our underage teams up to the age of 10 and the club would like to take this opportunity to thank all the coaches and parents/guardians for their work and support throughout the year. Roll on 2019
Congrats to Kilbeggan Shamrocks and Shandonagh
Well done to our neighbours Kilbeggan Shamrocks on a great win in the Junior Final and to Shandonagh on winning the Intermediate Final.
Condolences
The club would like to extend sincere condolences to the family of the late Oliver Shaughnessy on his recent passing. May he rest in peace.
