Division 3 v Multyfarnham

In what was a good workout for our JFC opener against Ballynacargy in TEG Cusack Park this Monday evening, we succumbed to Multyfarnham by 1-11 to 3-14 in our penultimate All-County League Division 3 game in Kilbeggan last Tuesday evening.

Despite being short a number of regulars and losing county panellist Nigel Scally to a facial injury in the first half, we only trailed by a point, 1-5 to 1-6, at half-time after a Paul Fennell goal had given us an early lead. But Multy's strong running game hurt us after the restart as they ran out deserving winners.

Despite this result, our Division 3 status is assured with one round to play against Ballinagore.

Team: Thomas Barrett; Darragh Coffey, Alan Fennell, John Dinnegan; Niall Carey, Colin Draper, Mel Kiernan; Brendan McMahon, Dean Fitzgerald; David Fennell, Nigel Scally, Keith Corcoran; Paul Fennell, Emmet Dalton, Fergal Fox. Subs used: Martin Ward, Finbar Coffey and Luke McNamee.

Eoin Miller Memorial Tournament

We've been drawn in the same group as Ballinagore, Shandonagh and St Joseph's in the Eoin Miller 7-a-side Memorial Tournament which takes place in Ballinagore next Saturday, June 23. Best of luck to Ballinagore GAA with the event.

Leinster GAA / Beko draw

We were delighted to win €1,500 worth of GAA equipment in the latest Leinster GAA / Beko draw. We will be one of 12 clubs to receive our prize at next Sunday's Leinster SFC final between Dublin and Laois in Croke Park.

U14 final

Hard luck to Kilbeggan/St Joseph's U14s who lost their Division 2 League final to Lilliput Gaels by 1-6 to 1-8 in Athlone last week.

The late Hughie Harte

The club wishes to extend its sympathy to the Harte family, Grange, Kilbeggan on the death of Hughie last Saturday. Hughie, who was in his 82nd year, was a great Tyrrellspass supporter who flew the club colours proudly whenever they were in a final. May he rest in peace.
