Galway hurling draws: Holders last out of the hat

The draws for the restructured 2020 Galway hurling championships have been made and holders St Thomas' were the last of the twelve teams out of the hat in the SHC A.

With three groups of four, St Thomas' will play Castlegar first before taking on Sarsfields and Portumna in the later rounds. Beaten finalists in the past two seasons, Liam Mellows have been pitted against Turloughmore in their opening game while Loughrea will face Tommy Larkins.

This year's county SHC B and IHC draws were also conducted at the Loughrea Hotel & Spa this evening.
