Gleeson: we're better prepared

Adare's Jack English holds possession

Adare manager Harry Gleeson believes they are going into this year’s Munster club SFC in better shape than last year.

The back-to-back Limerick senior football champions lost out to Nemo Rangers in last year’s provincial campaign, but they return to action this weekend as they prepare to take on Waterford champions The Nire.

Home advantage is on the side of Adare as the game forms part of a double header with Na Piarsaigh and Tipperary champions Clonoulty-Rossmore at the Gaelic Grounds.

And Gleeson told the Limerick Leader that they are better prepared for the Munster club this time around.

“We didn’t do ourselves justice last season in Munster. But it is up to us to raise the level of our performance this year, no one else can do that for us,” Gleeson told the Limerick Leader.

The winners of this clash will face Clare’s St Joseph’s Miltown-Malbay in the Munster club SFC semi-final on November 11th.
