There was a host of qualifier action today with eight games down for decision across the country and we were delighted to bring you all the action as it unfolded.

Six matches took place in the football qualifiers, with the early throw-in coming at 2pm at Kingspan Breffni, where Mattie McGleenan's Cavan side welcomed Tipperary, while at 3pm Wexford battle a hotly-fancied Monaghan side and Carlow and Leitrim faced off at Netwatch Dr Cullen Park.

After their extra time victory over Derry last weekend, Mayo travelled to Ennis to take on Clare at 5pm with another big clash throwing in an hour afterwards between Meath and Donegal in Navan.

The late fixture saw Westmeath looking to bounce back from their 31-point hammering to Dublin last month when they welcomed Kieran McGeeney's Armagh side to Mullingar at 7pm.

The double header at Semple Stadium in the hurling championship this evening was between Tipperary and Dublin (5pm) with the day's feature clash between Kilkenny and Waterford getting underway two hours later.

You can follow all the action as it happened here on our Saturday Match Tracker.
