GAA on TV this weekend: two provincial deciders plus two qualifiers

This weekend will see finals in Connacht and Munster as well as two tasty looking qualifier games broadcast live.
Saturday starts with the clash between two All-Ireland SFC quarter-finalists from last year, Clare and Mayo, in a 3A qualifier game at Ennis.
That's followed up by the massive hurling derby between Waterford and Kilkenny. Are the Cats on the wane and can Waterford claim a first championship win over their neighbours since 1959?
Sunday sees live coverage of the Connacht SFC and Munster SHC deciders. It took a replay to separate Galway and Roscommon last year while down south Clare are seeking a first Munster title in 19-years.
TG4's history of the GAA continues on Sunday at 8.30pm while at 9.30pm we will all watch with interest to see who The Sunday Game throws under the bus this week.
On Monday one definitely not to miss is the final instalment of the brilliant GAA Nua on RTE1 at 7.30pm. Dara O'Cinnéide looks at where the GAA is headed in the future.
To round off your fix of action, GAA 2017 on TG4 features senior and minor highlights at 8pm on Monday.
For those of you looking ahead to next week, TG4 has live coverage on Wednesday and Thursday night of the two Munster U21HC semi-finals. First up is the meeting of Limerick and Clare, with Waterford taking on Cork on Thursday.

A continued look at the history of the Gaelic Athletic Association. In the 60's people in the South were embracing a new modern identity, while Northern Nationalists embraced the GAA as their badge of identity. Down became the first Northern team to lift Sam, but Galway were the team of the decade.

Des Cahill is joined by a panel of guests to present highlights and discussion of the weekend's GAA fixtures.

Former Gaelic footballer Dara O'Cinnéide ends his examination of the modern day GAA with a look at the state of Gaelic games now and where they may be heading.
