Conor O'Donoghue was a long way from home when he captained the Celtic Cowboys from Austin Texas to victory in the 'brilliant' West Coast Sevens in San Diego. 

After a cracking Senior Final with Setanta San Diego, the Westmeath man lauded the growth of Gaelic Games in Texas and praised the hosts who secured the USA Olympic Training Center for the Sevens event.  

"It's a high calibre place and it's unbelievable that San Diego get it. It makes it that bit better playing in such great conditions," said Conor.
