The London Youth held their awards evening last Friday at the Ruislip GAA and recognised all the teams that had won titles during the 2019 season.  Also present were players who had represented their county at the different age groups and Feile of which London did exceptionally well.  Congratulations to everyone that was recognised or received an award which is a great achievement at county level.  In particular to our U15 who won a league title and to the U17 who were minor championship winners.

 

A special mention goes to Eoghan Reilly who received the U17 London Player of the Year award.  A player of outstanding ability who has done brilliantly this season having also picked up the Club award for U17 Players’ Player 2019.  Eoghan trains hard and reads the game brilliantly; not much gets past this young defender.  The award is richly deserved and we wish Eoghan all the best as he takes his next step playing gaelic at the next level.   

 

With all the games and competitions over for the season, the club moves to the planning phase and also a little bit of time for ‘socialising’.  The Junior team are off to the races on November 16th, meeting at Buckley’s 9.15am.  The Youth section will be announcing the details for the NYE celebration following last year’s very successful celebration.  Details to follow.  The club’s dates for the club’s AGM’s are also to be arranged and again details will be announced soon. 

 

The outdoor training for the season has now finished but even though the season is drawing to a close, Parnells are always happy to welcome new players at our bases, Harrow Rugby Club and Northwick Park, across all age groups and ability.  For U6-17 please contact Colin McGuinness (07779 340398) or Veronica Bailey (07768 635534) and for the Senior/Junior teams, please contact Tony Griffin (07966 160999) or Dennis Diggins (07768 352680).  Winter training will begin in January and more details to follow.
