The 2019 Coley Folan Memorial Football Tournament (U9 Boys, U11 Boys, U13 Boys and U16 Girls) and Family Fun Day. 

Sean McDermotts Club has great pleasure in confirming the details for our fifth Coley Folan Memorial Tournament on Saturday 8th June 2019 at Land Rover Sports & Social Club, Billsmore Green, off Lode Lane, Solihull, B92 9LN.

As in previous years, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring together the Birmingham Irish community and the wider GAA community who share the same spirit and commitment to Gaelic games as our great friend Coley Folan. This year’s event will showcase the enthusiasm and skill of our underage footballers. Clubs from Warwickshire, London, Liverpool, Manchester, Scotland and Ireland have confirmed their attendance giving players the chance to play against teams of varying skill and strength.

Games will commence at 10am sharp and end with an awards presentation and balloon release in memory of our great friend Coley Folan in the afternoon. There will be music throughout the day and lots of children’s entertainment (which is all free with the exception of face painting and glitter tattoos). There will also be sweets, pop, ice cream, licensed bar and barbeque available throughout the day. An entrance fee of £3 per person will be charged into the event.

We are extremely grateful to our sponsors for their generosity, enabling this event to be so successful. As in previous years, donations will be made from the proceeds of this year’s event to charities/good causes that will be chosen by the Folan and Sean McDermotts family. Last year donations were made to Cure Leukaemia on behalf of Josh Nicholson and Harrison (Harry) Price two boys currently undergoing treatment for Leukaemia, Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid and St Martin de Porres School.
