60th ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND:

We retained the Mickey Connors memorial cup after defeating Shamrocks GAA Club in the final of our 60th anniversary tournament by 3 points. The dinner and dance was a wonderful event with 310 people attending. Fr. Murphy's presented the 6 remaining members of the 1959 junior championship winning team and received presentations from Cllr Barbara-Anne Murphy, Cllr Keith Doyle and Shamrocks GAA clubman Batty Brooks. We would like to thank all our sponsors, the staff of The Riverside Hotel and all those who helped organise the event. It was a truly memorable event to mark 60 years of the purple and gold.
