Tyrone’s Tiarnan McCann admits that it is a huge boost to have Cathal McShane back in the squad.
McShane turned down a highly publicised move to the AFL in order to stay at home following a job offer from within the county.
The talented full forward came on in the win over Kerry last Sunday week and McCann told the Ulster Herald that the return of McShane was greeted by all of the squad.
“Cathal is a very popular figure in the dressing room, and we wanted the best for him. We were also selfish in that we wanted Cathal here with us, but ultimately it was his decision and we're just thrilled to have him back,” said McCann.
“He's such a big player for us, and the way he played last year, he's a very important cog in the system."
