Urney St. Columba's - Club Notes

ADULT FOOTBALL (Daoine Fásta):

 

Pre-season training is well under way and will continue on Tuesday's from 8pm to 9pm in Melvin and Friday's from 7pm to 8pm at the Finn Valley running track.

All past, new and returning players welcome.

 

Last Sunday's game against Craigbane in the Ulster League was postponed as a mark of respect to the Divin and McGhee families following the death of Willie Divin. The game will be rearranged for later in February.

Next up is a home game against Limavady Wolfe Tones from Derry. Throw in 11am this Sunday 16th February. Why not come along and show your support for the team.

 

YOUTH (An tAos Óg)

 

The minor ladies season is due to begin this weekend. At present Urney are home to neighbours Strabane. The game is due to take part this Sunday 16th February, throw in time tbc, keep an eye on Facebook.

 

Training for u14 u12 boys teams will commence this Wednesday 12th in Melvin sports complex from 6 to 7pm.

All players should have an inhaler if needed, gum shield, their own water bottle and wear the appropriate clothing for outside training.

 

Well done to Under 12 player Aoibhe McDevitt who took part in the mini games at half time, in Saturday's Tyrone ladies victory over Clare at a wet and windy Garvaghey. 

Well done to all involved.

National GAA draw tickets are now available, with some fantastic prizes available this year. Ask any committee member or player for more details.

All proceeds will go towards the club.
