Moylan ready to see where charges are at

The Athletic Grounds will host the Ulster club IFC final on Saturday evening.

Galbally Pearses manager John Moylan believes that Saturday’s Ulster club IFC final will determine how strong they really are.

The Tyrone champions face Monaghan counterparts Magheracloone in the provincial decider at the Athletic Grounds on Saturday evening.

The Monaghan side only contested their senior final in 2017, but had a disastrous year in 2018 that saw them relegated and their pitch lost to a sinkhole.

Galbally are favourites to lift the Ulster title but Cork native Moylan knows that his charges will be up against it and stressed to the Ulster Herald that they will be facing similar strength sides in the Tyrone SFC next year.

“I’ve no doubt that they will be the best team we’ve played all year. They’re very experienced and physical and from what I’ve seen of them, they’re very impressive,” said Moylan.

“I think it’s going to be a very tough test. They are a senior team really. The way I see it, we’ll find out on Saturday if we’re fit to compete in Division One next year.”
