Urney St. Columba's - Club Notes

April 09, 2019

ADULT (Daoine Fásta):

Senior result - Galbally 2-16 Urney 1-8

An understrength Urney team made the long journey to Galbally today. A battling 1st half kept the boys in touch at half time. There was only a few points in it with 10 mins to go but Urney lost a couple of key men to injuries and as a result Galbally capitalized and pulled away. Next up is Cookstown at home. Finally after 2 long trips we get a home game. Let's get behind the boys next week and help turn the start of the year around.

Thanks again to Brian & Damien from Gallagher's Home for sponsoring the match ball.

Senior & Reserve training schedule for this week is as follows:

Monday 1st April 7pm in Cutt Park.

Friday 5th April 7pm again in Cutt Park.

All current, new and returning players welcome.

CONDOLENCES (Comhbhrón):

Urney GAA was saddened last week to learn of the passing of Philomena Langan (née Culhane). Beloved wife of Jackie, much loved mother of Bridget, Anthony, Una, Vincent and the late Martin and Mary and sister of Ann, John and the late Tony, Michael, David, Margaret and Mary.

Without the support from Phil & Jackie and the entire Langan family, the club would not have survived, nor achieved the success we have enjoyed over the past few years.
