A massive thank you to everyone who helped out in any way for the Senior Ladies and youth
teams St. Patrick’s Day coffee morning. Thank you to those who baked or made anything- we
were blown away by the amount of goodies and treats that was kindly donated! Our thanks
also must go to all those who helped decorate the hall, and of course all the tea makers,
workers and those who washed dishes and made the event run so smoothly! Lastly, Thank
you to everyone who came and supported our coffee morning- we are delighted to say that
£840 was raised!
Clann Na nGael goes Smoke Free! We are delighted to announce that the club will be going
Smoke Free from Monday 1st April 2019. In partnership with the Public Health Agency and
the GAA Healthy Clubs Project, we will be erecting signage at both our Aughabrack and
Dunamanagh facilities. From Monday 1st April smoking (including the use of eCigarettes)
will be strictly prohibited on all of our grounds and facilities. As part of the launch, we are
running a ‘Smoke Free Poster Competition’ with our 3 local Primary Schools; Altishane,
Loughash and St.Patricks. The winning posters will be displayed in our club rooms along
with the new Smoke Free Policy. There is no safe level of exposure to second-hand smoke,
therefore we are taking positive steps to protect our players, supporters, members and visitors
from the immediate dangers of tobacco and second-hand smoke exposure. We are sure you
will all join us in driving forward this exciting initiative - and help make our club a safer and
healthier environment for everyone!
