Notes for week beginning 18.02.19

 

Last week's lotto numbers were 5, 10, 22 and 24 with Thomas Hughes matching three numbers. Next week's jackpot is £3300.  

 

The minor girls started their league campaign with a win over Donaghmore at home on Sunday. Played in challenging conditions, the girls ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-8 to 1-6. The club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Sian Fitzgerald who picked up a knee injury during the game. 

 

The u21s will continue their league campaign this Wednesday evening with a game against Killyman at 715 over in MUSA. 

 

Another successful dinner dance was held in our newly refurbished lounge on Saturday night. There was a great crowd in attendance who all had an enjoyable evening. Awards on the night went to: 

Senior Player of the Year: Patrick Doris 

Most Improved Senior Player: Paul O'Neill 

Reserve Player of the Year: Ryan Morrow 

Most Improved Reserve: Caomhlin Donnelly 

Minor player of the Year: Conall Coyle 

Most Improved Minor Player: Sean Hughes 

 

For the girls awards went to: 

Senior Player of the Year: Sinead Hanna 

Most Improved Senior: Briana Quinn 

Players Player Award: Kathy Donnelly 

Minor Player of the Year: Orlagh Gavin and Briana Quinn 

Most Improved Minor: Chloe Donnelly 

 

Special Recognition Awards went to Connor McAliskey, Ryan McCabe, Sian Fitzgerald, Orlagh Gavin, Emma Donnelly, Elisha Gervin and Rachel O'Neill. 

Club Person of the Year: Orlagh Rafferty 

 

A special mention goes to Kelly Anne and her staff for the wonderful food and service on the night.

Saturday 6th April is the first of our big fundraisers of the year. The club are hosting 'Clonoe Dine with Me'. There has been a fantastic uptake of hosts for the night but if anyone else is interested in hosting they are asked to contact Adrian Hughes on 07860151787. It is sure to be a fantastic night with the 'Bleed'n Cowboys' providing the entertainment for everyone in the social club after. 

 

On Monday 25th February in the Community Centre at 7pm, there is a well being workshop on how to Spring Clean Your Life. This workshop will be delivered by Siobhan Kearney who is a life and executive coach. For further details and to book your place, please contact Alice on 07526834948. 

 

The lights will continue to be lit up from 7-9 on a Monday and Wednesday evening as part of our Winter Health and well being programme and on a Thursday from 7-9 as part of Operation Transformation. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in, whether they are walking, running or jogging.  

 

With our 3G and indoor sports halls, anyone interested in booking a slot are asked to contact Alice on 07526834948. With our state of the art facilities, we are able to cater for any function or occasion. With Confirmation this weekend, there are limited places left for anyone looking to book a table. The club was saddened to hear of the death of former senior manager John Morrison during the week. The club would like to pass on our sincere condolences to his family at this sad time. Sympathy is also extended to the O'Neill family, Ardmore on the death of Patricia.
