Padraig Hampsey felt Sunday’s comeback against Roscommon restored pride in the Tyrone jersey.

Mickey Harte’s men were seven points adrift after Ultan Harney netted in the 43rd minute but reeled off an unanswered 1-4 to come away from Dr Hyde Park with a battling draw:

“The massive thing was putting pride back in the Tyrone jersey,” their All Star defender turned midfielder told The Irish News.”People travel all around the country to watch us and we said before we went out that we had to play with pride and I think we showed that.

“We could have been going into our next game with no points at all, but this point was a positive and we’ll take plenty of positives from that. The boys dug deep and we ground out a draw.

“We pushed forward in the second half and could have nicked it. It was a game of two halves and we showed great steel to come back and get the draw.”
