Mattie Donnelly isn’t panicking over Tyrone’s disappointing start to the 2019 national football league.
The Red Hands have been pushed aside by Kerry and Mayo is their opening two Division One outings, managing just seven points from play, but their captain is keeping the sunny side up:
“I don’t think it is a lack of focus or a lack of want,” he told The Irish Daily Star. “We were in this exact same position this time last year in the league, so we have the experience of dealing with that.
“We are just going to have to fight our way out. I’m not overly concerned as I believe we will turn the corner.
“There are seven games in this division and there isn’t one of them that is straightforward so we are going to have to fight. There are only two teams without any points at the minute and we are one of them, so the quicker we can get points on the board the better.”
