The Youth Presentation Night took place on Friday 18th Jan at the Washingbay Centre to celebrate the achievements of our young Football, Camogie and Irish Culture Gaels. Thank you kindly to all the children, parents and club members for the efforts and input and to our special guests Collette and Shane Coney of Irelands Fittest Family and Tyrone Senior Football stars Conor Mc Aliskey and our very own Brian Kennedy, go raibh maith agaibh! Ádh mór to Tyrone Senior footballers and our very own Brian Kennedy V Kerry in the Allianz Football League Round 1 at Fitzgerald Stadium at 2:00 PM on Sun 27th Jan. Derrylaughan Kevin Barry's GAC begin the football season with our U21s V Rock St Patrick's at the Shore at 2.30pm in the Grade 2A first round. All support welcome!

Cairde Caoimhin de Barra is open for membership Club Membership and Player Registrations are due by 31/03/18 - £20 Individual, £30 Couple, £10 Senior Citizen. Anyone interested in joining is asked to contact any committee member and see social media for further information.

The Washingbay Green Run (WGR ‘19) is on Sat 16th March at 10.30am - please visit the website http://wbaygreenrun.com and follow social media for further information on the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon routes. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for Kilometre Post/Water-stop, Start/Finish Post, T-shirt and Website - please contact Brendan on 07784516133 or any member of the committee.

In preparation for the WGR and as part of The GAAs ‘Ireland Lights Up’ initiative, Healthy Ireland and Get Ireland Walking (GIW) the club floodlights shall again be turned on each Monday and Thursday 7-9pm. Come enjoy a healthy walk in the safe, bright, environs of your local GAA club, catch up with your neighbours and prepare for the Washingbay Green Run 2019. Sean Robinson Health and Fitness is also running a Couch to 5K for all ages and fitness levels in association with the WGR ’19 free of charge with the first of 6 sessions beginning Sat 2nd Feb at 10.30am at the clubrooms.

The winter programme for P4-3rd Year continues every Saturday 10.30-11.30am and Club Football and Camogie preseason training information continued to be communicated by Club WhatsApp Group Messages. Please note that due to an extensive maintenance programme the main pitch is closed – all players and members are kindly requested to observe this notice until notified otherwise. Pilates continues in the Washingbay Centre on Tuesday at 7.30pm, contact Bronagh on +447703594967 to book a place. Art classes at the Washingbay Centre every Wednesday at 8pm – for further details contact Ann at 028 8773 8052.
