All Ireland Final Tickets;

Any fully paid up members requesting tickets for the 2018 All Ireland Final can do so by texting club secretary Sean Dudgeon 07784106538 (orders by phone call won't be accepted). Closing date for ticket applications is Monday 20th August at 8.00pm.

No ticket requests will be accepted after this date.

We will be strictly adhering to a 1 member = 1 ticket ratio, if you are requesting more than one ticket please state the names of the other members you are ordering tickets for.

Also, we ask that only members who are going to the final apply, please don't order tickets for non-members using your name.

A few important points that we feel need to be made.

- We anticipate that demand for tickets will outweigh our allocation, your ticket request does not guarantee a ticket.

- Please only apply if you are a fully paid up member to save disappointment.

- Tickets will be allocated to us by the County Board, we have no say over how many or which part of the ground the tickets are for.

There are no concessions for All Ireland final tickets and we estimate tickets will cost £75/€80 each.

 

Sigersons are going on the Big Screen;

An Insurance company recently launched a campaign to find a bunch of 10-year-old footballers who were not only good on the pitch but who also looked good on the big screen, so they could use them in an upcoming advertisement.

 

When we heard about the competition it was a no brainer to get our extremely talented Strabane Sigersons U10 boys entered so we prepared a wee promotional video and sent it off thinking we'd never hear anything in reply.

 

Out of 150 entries the boys were amongst several teams shortlisted to attend an audition in Dublin last week resulting in 11 of the boys being selected to be part of the advert.

The recording for the advert takes place on next week were the boys, and their parents, will once again travel to Dublin for a full day of recording.

 

Although the Club receives a fee for the boy's appearance it won't cover the full costs of the trips to Dublin for the auditions and the recording of the advertisement, so we are requesting that everyone get behind them in a few wee fundraisers to help cover the costs.

This will be a great experience for the boys to be part of an advertisement that will be broadcast nationally, and will no doubt increase the profile of the Club both locally and on a national level.

 

Well done to the boys, coaches and parents on their selection.

 

Night at the races;

This Saturday night in Sigersons social club there will be a night at the races in aid of Foyle Hospice, we would ask club members to all support this event which starts at 9pm.

 

Youth;

The Under 16 boys began their league game last Friday night with a 4-9 to 2-6 win over Trillick in Páirc Mhíc Sioghair, Anthony Crossan top scored with 3-2 and Conor Williamson grabbing the other goal.

 

The lads then defeated Owen Roes on Monday night past on a score line of 2-17 to 2-6 in Glenmornan.

 

Well done to Sigersons Girls Ellie-Jay McMenamin and Anna Mortimore who recently attended the Ulster GAA Minor Academy.
