Geraghty goes for Tyrone

Graham Geraghty is tipping Tyrone to advance to a Sam Maguire Cup showdown with Dublin.

The two-time Meath All-Ireland winner has been impressed with what he has seen of the Red Hands in recent weeks and gives Mickey Harte's men his vote to shade this afternoon's all-Ulster clash.

"I like the way Harte has set up his team," he writes in The Irish Sun.

"Tyrone are still very defensive, but they are mixing it with their attack much better and they get forward a lot quicker.

"They have scored 15 goals and 137 points in eight games - and that haul speaks for itself."

It will be the second time that Tyrone and Monaghan's paths have crossed in this year's championship...

"When Tyrone played Monaghan in the Ulster Championship in Omagh back in May, the Farney edged it 1-18 to 1-16.

"But I don't think that result will have any bearing on today's game.

"Obviously Monaghan want to repeat the dose and Tyrone want revenge, but we are months further down the line and there is an All-Ireland final place at stake.

"Tyrone have improved more since - and that's why they are slight favourites."
