Wicklow referee Anthony Nolan has been handed the not so easy task of officiating at this weekend's All-Ireland SFC semi-final between Monaghan and Tyrone.

Clashes between Ulster sides are notoriously difficult to referee given the amount of off the ball stuff that does be going on!

The phrase 'no quarter given' is never more apt to an all-Ulster clash and no doubt this will be a big test for Nolan who has been making huge strides in refereeing.

Nolan was in charge of last year's All-Ireland MFC final, this year's NFL 1 final between Dublin and Galway; the 2018 Leinster U20 football final and three of this year's championship games.

However, none will compare to Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final which is set to have an electric atmosphere as the sides battle it out for a place in this year's final.

Meanwhile, Derry's Barry Cassidy will take charge of Saturday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final involving Dublin and Galway.
