Senior and Reserve men travelled to Brackaville on Sunday past on a very blustery day for football. The Reserve men, with a team mixed with youthful exuberance and a more senior clientele with no puff, played out of their skins and put away a very dogged Brackaville team on a score of 4:04 to 2:16.

The Seniors were on top in their game in the first half until Brackaville tagged on a few scores just before half time but still lead by 4 points going in at the break. Playing with a strong breeze in the second half the home side worked hard to get back into the game and scored a goal at a vital time, but again Killeeshil didn't panic and scored a few points to settle the nerves and on a day when they could have both won it and lost it, a Draw seemed to be a fair enough reflection of the game. Our men now face Brockagh on Sunday in Killeeshil with Reserves kicking off at 2:15 and the Senior game at 3:45.

Minor Lads played the first game of the League on Friday past when they travelled to Ardboe. Fielding a relatively young team the lads trailed by a point at the end of the first half and even though they rallied well in the second half, Ardboe got their scores when they were needed and won the game on a score line of 1:12 to 1:07. Killeeshil now face Eglish at home on Tuesday night at 7pm.

U14's played Derrylaughan last Tuesday down on the loughshore and again trilled the spectators with some fine free flowing football and some tremendous scores but the bigger and stronger Derrylaughan side pulled away in the closing stages of the game and ran out 7:14 to 5:10 winners. The lads then went to Féile on Saturday morning in Galbally and again gave a good account of themselves wining one of of three games. Next up for the lads is another league game in Galbally on Saturday at 1pm.
Our Senior Ladies began their League  campaign on Sunday away to Errigal Ciaran and despite fielding a very young team the girls fought hard for each other gave a very good account of themselves, but the experience of Errigal shone through in the end and they won the game 6:11 to 2:11. Training continues with the Minor ladies and we urge all our Senior ladies to pull on the boots again and step out and play a bit of ball for the Club.

Our minors girls made the long journey to Trillick last Thursday evening past in search of their first points of the season, it was fine conditions for a game of ball between two evenly matched sides with the hosts leading by a point at the halfway mark, a few quiet words at the break and the Killeeshil girls started to put pressure on the home side and started to take control of proceedings, they ran out winners of a very feisty affair on a scoreline of 2:8 to 1:6, a great team performance. Thanks goes out to our travelling supporters, training continues Tuesday and Thursday's 6:30 til 7:30.

The U14 girls had their second league match of the campaign on Monday night past with a home game v Aodh Ruadh. The Cill Iseal girls dominated the first 15-20 minutes of the first half with some fine scores from play and some excellent teamwork.  However Aodh Ruadh fought hard and managed to tag on 2 goals before the break to leave the half time score Cill Iseal 2-06 Aodh ruadh 2-04. Cill Iseal started the second half well with a goal and a point in quick succession, but the half time teamtalk obviously did Aodh Ruadh the world of good as they kept the pressure on and scored 7 unanswered points before Cill Iseal managed to score again in the 25th minute.  Luckily a goal chance was converted to bring them back into the lead and a further point from a free kick left the final margin of a 2 point win for the hoops.  Final score Cill Iseal 4-08 Aodh Ruadh 2-12.

The team travelled to Fintona on Saturday morning to compete in the Féile and after overcoming Fintona and Cappagh qualified for the Tyrone  Semi's where they will meet Carrickmore on Tuesday night at 6:45 in Augher. All support appreciated for this young team in a very tough encounter.
