Senior Men;

The senior men have begun their league campaign for 2018, they started off with a draw against Loughmacrory last Saturday with the final score ending 1-10 to 0-13. Next up was a local derby against Owen Roes on Sunday past but it was a very disappointing day for Sigersons ending in a 1-10 to 0-3 defeat.

 

Sigersons reserves however have started off very well with two wins from two, first up they defeated Loughmacrory 3-17 to 0-9 and then on Sunday they defeated Owen Roes on a scoreline of 3-9 to 0-10.

 

This Sunday the Senior and Reserve men will face Cookstown at home with the game fixed for 2.15pm and 3.45pm, all support is much appreciated.

Sigersons Easter Camp;

Sigersons hosted a very successful Easter camp last Tuesday and Wednesday with over 150 children present, Tte dedicated and enthusiastic coaching team at Sigersons were ably backed up by Derry City & Strabane District Council's Everybody Active Coaches and three of the most in-form players in the country at the minute in Peter Harte, Cathal McShane and Lee Brennan.

 

There was awards for each boy and girl for each age category with the winners recieving a medal and a pair of gloves kindly sponsored by Ciaran Murphy from Murphy's Gloves. Thanks also is extended to Eclipse Cinemas Lifford Strabane for their kind sponsorship towards the event.

Congratulations to Sé McDermott, Cillian McElduff, Amelia Scarlett, Tori Coyle, Eve Flanagan, Calvin Diver, Jessica Molloy, Fintan Foley, Megan McGrath, Ronan McLaughlin, Ria McAnnenney and Gavin Molloy. The Cormac McAnallen Awards, for the players who didn't just perform well at the camp but for their efforts and contributions over the year(s), went to Bláthnaid McCay and Ryan McCormick.

 

A massive thank you to all the coaches, the parents for bringing the children and to the Sigersons Youth Officer Jason Foley for organising the camp who was assisted by Arán McGowan.

 

Strabane Sigersons Easter Coaching Camp for all children from P1 to Year 10 will run on Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th April from 10am-1pm.Tyrone GAA players will be in attendance!Youth;

Sigersons minor boys were defeated by Badoney by a single point last week, Strabane had led for long periods but didn't make the most of chances they had.

 

Good Luck to Sigersons Minor girls who host Castlederg on Thursday night at 6.45pm, all support much appreciated.

 

The Under 14 Boys were defeated by Loughmacrory on Saturday past at home, the lads gave a good fighting display however were unable to come away victorious. This week the lads will play

 

The Under 14 Girls have started off their league campaign with two defeats against Dromore and Kildress but did defeat Sperrin Og, the girls have played really well and have shown great signs with a very young team.
