Limerick may have to make do without corner-forward Peter Casey for the opening rounds of the Munster senior hurling championship as the Na Piarsaigh clubman recovers from a shoulder injury.

The Limerick Leader reports that Casey is set for a four to six week spell on the sidelines, meaning he will miss the Treaty County's Munster U21 quarter-final against Clare next Monday week.

It also means that he is set to miss the crunch Munster SHC opener against Tipperary on May 20th and will likely be racing to be fit for the Shannonsiders' meeting with holders Cork on June 2nd.

"Peter had a shoulder injury and his rehab had a set-back," Limerick boss John Kiely confirmed to the Leader.
